About the founder

Hey, I'm Mahad.

I'm a software engineer, and I built MCATCRUSH. I'm not a pre-med myself — I build study tools for people prepping for the exams that decide where they go next. When I looked at MCAT prep, all the good practice was locked behind a paywall, so I built what should have existed and put it out for free.

The problem I kept seeing

I build software for a living, and I kept watching pre-meds run into the same wall. The good MCAT practice was paywalled — question banks behind subscriptions, courses that cost more than a month of rent — and the free stuff was thin, untimed, and nothing like the real screen.

The deeper problem was that almost none of it felt like the actual MCAT. The exam puts real molecules, circuits, graphs, and equations in front of you. Most practice tools flattened all of that into plain text or a blurry image. You can't train for test day on something that doesn't look like test day.

So I built what should have existed

MCATCRUSH is that tool. Free practice questions across all four sections, with the molecules, diagrams, and equations drawn live on the page exactly the way they appear on the real exam. You answer, and you get instant feedback with a worked explanation, so you actually understand why an answer is right instead of just memorizing a letter.

  • Every section, from Chem/Phys to CARS to Psych/Soc.
  • Live-rendered figures, not screenshots — the way the test renders them.
  • Instant feedback and a clear explanation on every question.
  • No sign-up, no paywall, no credit card. Just open it and start.

There's a second half to your application

Before MCATCRUSH, I built CasperCoach, a practice platform for the CASPer® test, for the same reason: nobody should have to walk into a test that decides part of their future without ever having practiced it. MCATCRUSH grew out of that same idea. The MCAT is one score on your application; the CASPer is the other, and most people type their first real answer on test day. If you're prepping for both, they live under one mission.

What I actually care about

This site exists for one reason: to put high-quality MCAT reps in front of every pre-med, for free, no matter what they can afford. That's it. If practicing here makes you walk into your exam a little calmer and a little sharper, it did its job.

If something feels off, or there's a question type or a guide you wish existed, tell me. The fastest way to reach me is mcatcrushinfo@gmail.com. I read every message.
